Travel Nurse RN - Cardiac Catheterization Lab - $3,508 per week in Pikeville, KY

Pre/Post Area Responsibilities: Assesses/reassesses young adult, adult, and elderly patients and applies the nursing process to: Demonstrates basic competency in specialized procedures/equipment, i.e.
• Cardiac Monitoring • Care of and/or recovery of patient pre/post interventional cardiac procedures • Care of patients wit vascular closure devices: application, maintenance, and removal

• Maintain/Pull Arterial and/or Venous Sheaths • ACT machine • Angioseal/Vasoseal • Minimal Sedation • Use of moderate sedation with use of safety and prevention guidelines involved in delivery of moderate sedation. • Assist with transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) with use of safety and guidelines involved in delivery of the procedure. • Perform “Bubble” method as required when assisting with TEE

• Pain management and follow-up pain reassessment • Blood draws and use of appropriate “order-of-the-draw” for labs • IV therapy • IV ADD • Infusion of blood and blood products • Information management • Synchronized Cardioversion • ICD’s Pacemakers (Temporary and Permanent) Pre/Post Care and Recovery
