Participates in direct and indirect care of all related activities according to policies, procedures, philosophy, and mission of the organization. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the care plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Connects electrocardiogram (EKG) leads and alerts the physician of any changes in patient condition. Records and analyzes hemodynamic parameters and calculates shunt and valves and other data. Monitors patients, analyzes electrocardiograms (EKG) and hemodynamic parameters, and reports any changes in patients' conditions. Operates computerized systems with accuracy and evaluates and reports significant data and findings throughout all procedures for patients of various age groups. Operates specialized equipment effectively and safely. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
