Job Title: RN - Cath Lab Profession: Nursing Specialty: Agency Staff RN Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day - 10x4 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License - State Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Required Must-Have: EP experience preferred Description: Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Science in Nursing must be obtained within specified time frames for new hires. Required Experience: Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program. Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Time management and organizational skills. Initiates patient discharge planning at the time of patient contact. Ensures that documentation is performed accurately and in a timely manner. Assumes a leadership role and delegates to unlicensed assistive personnel to facilitate care. Engages in activities related to the professional role and seeks to continually advance knowledge.
