Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our behavioral health team. This vital role involves delivering high-quality patient care within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, focusing on mental health and behavioral support. The RN will play a leadership role by coordinating care, educating patients and families, and ensuring positive health outcomes while respecting cultural and individual diversity. Pay Package: $25 per hour with weekly stipend of $1,100
Shift: 7pm - 7am
Required Skills
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or Multistate
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current CPI Certification (within 12 months from the Crisis Prevention Institute)
- Proficiency in computer systems, software, and web-based applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to effectively assess patient needs and implement appropriate care strategies
Nice to Have Skills
- Certification in a clinical specialty area in nursing
- Additional certifications or training relevant to behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred over a diploma)
- More than two years of experience specific to behavioral or mental health nursing
Other Requirements
- Ability to work within physical demands, including exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Flexibility to work in a healthcare setting with potential exposure to hazardous materials and waste
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Nursing, and Scope & Standards of Practice
