The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care. The RN assesses patient needs, develops and implements care plans, administers treatments and medications, and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes or emergencies
Perform and interpret patient assessments and diagnostic tests
Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and nursing assistants as appropriate
Maintain patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance
Advocate for patient needs and promote quality care standards
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program (ADN or BSN)
Current, active RN license in the state of employment
Compact/multi-state license preferred where applicable
Previous nursing experience preferred (new graduates may be considered)
Specialty experience may be required depending on the department
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or other specialty certifications as required
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients throughout shifts
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care
Hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, outpatient centers, or other healthcare settings
Shifts may include nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
