Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day laboratory operations across multiple departments.

• Oversee staffing, workflow, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, TJC, AABB, DHS).

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and turnaround time.

• Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and cost containment strategies.

• Serve as the primary liaison to hospital leadership, physicians, and external partners.

• Motivate, mentor, and develop laboratory staff to achieve professional excellence.

• Prepare for and lead successful regulatory inspections and accreditations.

• Ensure alignment with the hospital s mission of delivering quality care with compassion and respect.

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Medical Technology or related biological science required.

• Current state Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) license and ASCP certification required.

• Minimum 5 years of laboratory supervisory or management experience.

• Proven leadership, organization, and communication skills.

• Deep understanding of laboratory regulatory standards and inspection readiness.

• Reputation for integrity, professionalism, and collaboration within the laboratory field.
