Job Title: Medical Technologist / Medical Lab Scientist
Location: Atlanta, GA
Start Date: March 23, 2026
Length: 13 weeks with possible extension
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Shift: Evenings, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (varied)
On‑Call: Not required
Local Candidates: Not accepted within 50 miles
This is a Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist position in a large, high‑volume hospital laboratory (600+ beds). The role requires strong blood bank experience and the ability to work efficiently with complex specimens and neonatal differentials.
Key responsibilities typically include:
- Blood bank testing
- Hematology & differential work (including neonates)
- Handling complex and abnormal specimens (turbid samples, platelet clumping, abnormal cells)
- Operation of Sysmex and CellaVision systems
- Supporting a fast‑paced lab with a diverse and heavy workload
