Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field as required by individual clients.
- Valid ASCP or AMT certification required.
- Laboratory licensure in the appropriate specialty when required by state regulations.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist.
- BLS certification required.
- Client-specific requirement: experience performing routine and specialized clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunology, and microbiology testing on hospital laboratory instrumentation.
- Client-specific requirement: familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic result reporting workflows.
- Client-preferred: prior hospital experience in an acute care or Level II/III laboratory setting.
