Job Description:

The Certified Nursing Assistant/Med Tech is an essential member of the patient care team. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, they are responsible for the direct and indirect patient care of residents, creating and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment. The CNA/MT will administer medications via oral, topical, vaginal, and rectal routes and by inhalation. They are required to chart all medications given, omitted, or refused. The CNA/MT will assist with the activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, aiding with mobility, and assisting with mealtimes.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Maine State Board-approved CNA course
• Active on Maine CNA registry
• Graduate of Maine State-approved Certified Medication Administration program
• At least 1 year of previous CNA experience required
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills
• Medical terminology is preferred
