Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Blood Bank Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: California license must be in hand Certifications: ASCP-BB or Clin Immunohem Sci preferred Must-Have: Seasoned traveler in Blood Bank required. Recent/current Blood Bank experience is mandatory. Trauma Level I experience is required. Experience in a large hospital (300+ beds) is essential. Epic experience is a hard stop requirement. Description: The role requires a Clinical Lab Scientist specializing in Blood Bank. Candidates should have extensive experience in high-volume type/screen and crossmatch. You will see 30-50 samples a day in a busy environment. Rotating weekend and holiday availability is necessary. Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be accommodated. Experience with Wellsky and Immucor instrumentation is preferred. Candidates should be well-versed in computer software and blood banking procedures. References and supervisory contacts covering the past year will be required. Traveling staff must float between facilities within the assigned state. Candidates must have the ability to perform all assigned duties efficiently. This is an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic clinical setting.
