Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Microbiology Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1+ year in specialty License: Required Certifications: ASCP-MLS Must-Have: - MLT ASCP certification not accepted Description: The clinical lab scientist will work in the microbiology department. This position requires strong knowledge and experience in various laboratory skills. Candidates must have experience with specific lab tests and procedures. A background in automated instrument use is essential. Experience with specimen collection, receipt, and transport is required. Charting experience is not necessary but is a plus. Candidates will perform tests such as occult blood, cultures, and gram stains. The selected candidate will ensure accurate reporting of test results. Knowledge of controls and rapid test kits is highly valued. Candidates must be capable of working independently and as part of a team. Flexibility in scheduling is important, including night shifts and possible weekend coverage.
