Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician Profession: MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) Specialty: Laboratory - Infusion Services Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via AMT preferred Certifications: BLS is not required Must-Have: - Proficient in Phlebotomy, with the ability to collect 30-50 patients daily - Energetic with great customer service skills - Ability to work independently - Experience in a high-volume setting, preferably in an emergency department or oncology private practice Description: Utilize working knowledge of complex instruments used in the clinical laboratory. Perform required work with speed and accuracy. Demonstrate knowledge of laboratory test procedures with defined automated procedures. Understand calculations and/or indicators which are age-dependent. Conduct testing procedures on specimens from adult patients. Keep abreast of advancements in clinical laboratory science. Reflect current legal, ethical, and professional standards in all areas of responsibility. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments. Participate in educational and training activities.
