Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - $1,280 to $1,440 per week in Chariton, IA

Pay Rate: $32.00 - $36.00/Hourly.

Summary: A Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs laboratory tests and procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing, monitoring, and treating medical conditions. This role involves analyzing blood, urine, and other body fluids using sophisticated laboratory equipment while ensuring accuracy, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities: 

• Ability to maintain confidentiality; and both a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with co-workers, patients, and visitors, and satisfactory job performance despite the stress of a hospital work environment.
• Wears appropriate apparel for the position and displays nametag upon such apparel.
• Regular and predictable work attendance.
• Performs routine and special laboratory tests within.
• Recognizes test inconsistencies and takes appropriate corrective action. Provides assistance to laboratory co-workers in resolution of similar problems. Seeks help from the Laboratory Manager.
• Prepares test reports legibly. Initials and dates own work performed. Reviews reports for clerical accuracy and clinical indications.
• Recognizes, analyzes, and takes corrective action to resolve instrument/clinical problems. Provides assistance to laboratory co-workers in the resolution of similar problems. Seeks help from the Laboratory Manager as required.
• Reports unresolved instrument/clinical problems to the Laboratory Manager.
