Key Responsibilities of the Travel Medical Assistant:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, including sanitizing and restocking supplies.
- Record patient vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Provide patient education and instructions as needed.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including answering phones and processing paperwork.
Requirements of the Travel Medical Assistant:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program and certification (CMA or CCMA preferred).
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and quality patient care
