Location:  West Chester, PA 19380
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Employment Type: Temp to Perm

Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a large and fast-paced Cancer Center in West Chester, PA affiliated with Penn Medicine. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, and only candidates interested in converting to a full-time Penn Medicine employee should apply. The ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, adaptable, and thrives in a high-volume clinical environment while providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform EKG procedures and obtain vital signs

  • Room patients and prepare them for provider evaluation

  • Update and maintain patient charts in EPIC (PennChart)

  • Assist providers during stress testing when required

  • Manage clinical phone lines and patient messages

  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records

  • Ensure a smooth workflow in a fast-paced oncology clinic environment

  • Support providers and clinical staff with patient care tasks

Required Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred

  • EPIC / PennChart experience required

  • Experience with EKG and vital signs

  • Strong communication and patient care skills

  • Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

  • Must be team-oriented, adaptable, and self-motivated

  • Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred

Location Requirements
  • Local candidates only

  • Must live within 30 minutes commuting distance

  • Reliable transportation required (location not accessible by public transportation)

  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred

Work Environment
  • Large Cancer Center practice

  • Affiliated with additional offices in Kennett Square and Exton

  • Fast-paced clinical setting requiring high energy and adaptability

  • Staff may walk 15,000–20,000 steps daily

Training
  • PennChart (EPIC) training – 4 hours on Fridays
