Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in New York, NY 10010. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity (Possibility of extension or conversion).

Job Details:

  • Job Name: Medical Assistant

  • Location: New York, NY 10010

  • Duration: 6+ months Contract (Possibility of extension or conversion)

  • Payrate: $21/hr – $23/hr (W2, based on experience and qualifications)

  • Schedule: 5 Days/week | Mon–Thurs: 7:45am – 4:30pm | Fri: 7:45am – 4:00pm

    Additional Requirements:

  • Floating required – must be open to covering nearby locations as needed: New York, NY 10016 (317 E 34th Street, 347 E 37th Street)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate clinical competence while assisting physicians and healthcare providers during exams and procedures

  • Perform patient rooming, escort patients to exam rooms, and ensure timely patient flow

  • Record vital signs, conduct vision screenings, and perform selected laboratory tests as directed

  • Assist with office-based diagnostic procedures and treatments within scope of practice

  • Prepare and process e-prescriptions as instructed by physicians

  • Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments and equipment following clinical guidelines

  • Accurately process, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory transport ensuring proper documentation

  • Provide proactive, patient-centered care by addressing individual patient and family needs

  • Communicate effectively with care teams to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and standards

  • Support clinic operations and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Must have qualifications/experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital

  • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience required

  • Current BLS certification required
