Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, 7:45 AM - 5:30 PM Day (4x9.5-hour shifts); Tuesdays OFF — schedule floats between First Hill, Renton, and Bothell clinics as needed

Hours per Week: 47

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Obtain vital signs and room patients efficiently and compassionately
  • Prepare exam rooms and chart patients in the EMR (scribe during visits as needed)
  • Collect and label specimens, perform urine dip/urinalysis, and assist with specimen handling
  • Assist providers with procedures including biopsy assistance and dressing changes
  • Administer injections and immunizations following clinic protocols
  • Perform telephone triage, handle refill requests, and coordinate scheduling
  • Support procedure setup using aseptic technique and help with suture removal when needed
  • Keep charts, authorizations, and supplies organized to ensure smooth clinic flow
Qualifications
  • BLS certification required
  • ENT clinical experience required
  • At least 6 months of prior MA experience in adult outpatient, pediatric, or private clinic settings
  • MA-C preferred; MA-R accepted with prior clinical experience
  • Reliable personal transportation required (public transit is not acceptable due to floating between sites)
  • Comfortable floating between clinic locations and adapting to alternating schedules
  • Strong computer/EMR skills; scribing during visits is part of the role
Education
  • MA-C preferred; MA-R accepted with prior clinical experience
Knowledge & Skills
  • Proficient with vital signs, rooming patients, and chart preparation
  • Specimen collection, labeling, and basic lab tasks (urinalysis)
  • Experience assisting with procedures (biopsy assistance, dressing changes, aseptic setup)
  • Administering intramuscular and intradermal injections and immunizations
  • Suture removal and minor procedure support
  • Telephone triage, scheduling, and handling pharmacy/refill requests
  • Charting in EMR systems (EPIC experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and patient-service skills
