Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Joshua, TX 76058. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Specific Duties:
  • Perform all responsibilities within the full scope of a Medical Assistant’s practice.
  • Organize the clinical environment to support efficient patient care and assist physicians, APCs, and nurses as needed.
  • Conduct patient-oriented procedures and administer medications in accordance with MA scope-of-practice guidelines.
  • Operate diagnostic equipment (without interpreting results).
  • Perform wound care, including changing dressings and obtaining cultures.
  • Administer non intravenous medications as authorized.
  • Collect specimens using noninvasive techniques and perform venipuncture for blood draws.
  • Conduct EKGs and ensure proper functioning of diagnostic equipment through routine quality control checks.
  • Room patients following established policies and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and ensure comfort throughout the visit.
  • Accurately and promptly document patient care information in the medical record.
  • Coordinate patient care activities as directed by physicians and in alignment with company policies.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and always demonstrate courtesy and respect.
  • Organize, stock, clean, and maintain exam and treatment rooms to ensure readiness.
  • Follow standard infection control precautions to promote a safe clinical environment.
  • Conduct telephone and in-person patient intake, limited to information gathering without requiring clinical judgment.
  • Adhere to the Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO) protocol.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 Years of Clinic Experience Required
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong communication skills and proven customer service capabilities.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to work with electronic medical systems.
  • Ability to remain calm, composed, and effective during emergency or high pressure situations.
  • Skilled in phlebotomy, including safe and accurate specimen collection.
  • Ability to interact with patients and staff with professionalism, empathy, and courtesy.
 
Must have qualifications/experience:
  • Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
  • BLS for healthcare providers
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Proven knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
 
Additional Information:
  • Location: Joshua, TX 76058
  • Job Type: 3+ months contract to hire
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday
  • Shift start & end times: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Workdays per week: 5 days
  • Pay Range: $18-23/hrs. on W2 without benefits
