Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facilities based in Arlington, TX 76017. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
 
Job Name: Medical Assistant
Location: Arlington, TX 76017
Duration: 3 months Contract (Possibilities of extension)
Pay rate: $20-23/hr. On W2 (Pay Rate is based on experience)
Schedule: 7 am - 5:30 pm/ Mon - Fri
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform clinical duties within the scope of practice, including venipuncture and capillary blood collection, noninvasive specimen collection, EKG administration, wound care (dressing changes, staple removal), culture collection, and administration of non-IV medications.
  • Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment; complete routine quality control checks to ensure accuracy and compliance (no test interpretation).
  • Prepare and sterilize medical instruments using autoclave; maintain organized, fully stocked exam and treatment rooms.
  • Room patients per established protocols; obtain and document intake information, prepare patients for examination, and support in-office procedures.
  • Accurately document patient care activities in the electronic medical record in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate patient care under physician direction in accordance with company policies and Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO).
  • Conduct telephone and in-person intake screening limited to data gathering without clinical judgment.
  • Adhere to standard infection control precautions and uphold strict patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
  • Provide professional, courteous patient interactions and perform additional related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    • High school/GED or equivalent.
    • Medical Assistant Certification/ Registration preferred.
