Job Title: Intake Therapist Profession: Social Worker (LMSW) Specialty: Adult Behavioral Health Duration: Full-time, Part-time Available Shift: Monday through Thursday 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, Friday 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Some Saturday hours may be required Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of one year post-Master's experience providing mental health treatment services to adults and children with severe mental illness. Minimum of one year of experience treating or working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. Minimum of one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families. License: Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling. Must possess corresponding state full licensure. All state licensure must remain active and free from disciplinary action. Certifications: Must obtain Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and Children's Mental Health Professional (CMHP) credentials within 120 days of hire. Must obtain Qualified Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Professional (QIDP) credential within 120 days of hire. Must possess a CAADC credential or be on an approved registered certification development plan within six weeks of hire. Must-Have: Ability to engage and develop therapeutic alliances with adults and children. Experience with crisis intervention is highly preferred. Description: We have an exciting opportunity for an Intake Therapist in the Behavioral Health sector. Services are delivered in an office setting on a walk-in or scheduled basis. Specific responsibilities include conducting intake assessments to identify needs and service preferences. Documentation must be completed within 48 hours. Gather and integrate information from all available sources during the intake process. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to articulate consumers' motivations for addressing identified needs. Provide consumers and their families with accurate information regarding available services. Assist consumers in initiating the person-centered planning process. Develop safety plans based on needs identified during assessments. Identify consumers requiring more extensive evaluations and facilitate referrals as needed. Consider promoting the utilization of group and support services. Participate in scheduled clinical supervision, case consultations, and team meetings. Document all service activity and phone contact pertaining to consumers. Maintain acceptable productivity standards. Complete all documentation within expected timeframes. Respond to routine chart reviews and audits in writing. Complete 25 hours of program and/or position-specific training annually. Maintain professional ethics and boundaries. Abide by all organizational policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Mileage reimbursement is available for personal vehicle use in accordance with IRS standards.
