Job Title: Clinical Social Worker Profession: Behavioral Health Specialty: Social Worker-Clinical, Acute Care Social Worker Duration: Permanent Shift: Monday to Friday, Days Hours per Shift: Full-time Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital or healthcare setting License: Master's level social work license required Certifications: State level license required or eligibility Must-Have: MSW (Master of Social Work) from an accredited school of Social Work Description: Uses a holistic approach in the provision of medical social services to patients and their families. Assists in solving or ameliorating physical, social, emotional, and environmental problems. Supports patients in attaining or retaining optimum health. Services are provided to individuals of all ages, from intra-uterine through elderly. Requires a valid driver's license. Basic knowledge of computer use is essential. Experience working in a cross-cultural setting is preferred. Bilingual skills in English and Yup'ik are advantageous. Ability to read, comprehend, and write at the college level is necessary. Effectively presents information in one-on-one and group situations to various stakeholders. Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Should be able to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret bar graphs. Must be able to perform supervisory tasks when necessary. Must be capable of working independently and in collaboration with other social workers.
