Job Summary (List Format):
- 6 month assignment in the Bay Area of CA! Provide individualized support, play, and education to help children and families cope with pediatric healthcare experiences.
- Utilize therapeutic play, creative arts therapy, and educational interventions to assist children during hospitalization.
- Offer family-focused support, including resources and counseling for parents and caregivers.
- Facilitate access to playrooms, teen lounges, and quiet spaces for patient and family relaxation and socialization.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including certified child life specialists, music therapists, art therapists, educators, and parent liaisons.
- Support school continuity for pediatric patients through educational programming.
- Ensure emotional and developmental needs of children are met during their hospital stay.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for children and families within the hospital.
- Required: Bachelor s degree in Education, Child Life, Child Development, or related field; Child Life Certification or proof of eligibility.
