Job Title: Counselor Profession: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours, Monday - Friday with rotating weekend Experience: 2+ years working with patients in a recovery setting License: LCSW Certifications: Valid CADC, ICADC or ability to obtain within 6 months Must-Have: - Valid LCSW license - Experience with addictions and behavioral problems - Ability to perform CIWA/COWS assessments - Proficient in handling UAs - Capability to set and maintain firm empathic boundaries Description: The Counselor provides treatment and support to assist patients in their recovery from addictions. This includes alcoholism, drug addiction, eating disorders, and other behavioral problems. The Counselor also assists in modifying problem behaviors. Counseling services may also be provided to families of clients. This position involves working in an inpatient substance abuse treatment facility for adults aged 18 and older. The facility accommodates both male and female patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio during the night shift includes one nurse, with 2-3 behavioral health technicians on duty from 7 PM to 11 PM. During the night from 11 PM to 7 AM, there is one technician on shift. Voluntary patients are accepted, and there are no restraints used. Administration and doctors are on call at all times. There is no onsite security. Visiting hours are scheduled for Sundays from 1 PM to 4 PM. Documentation will be performed using electronic health records. The dress code is business casual.
