Will need to float to Atlanta or Meridian Mark. IR RN need. This includes: Drawing up Lidocaine for the techs, sending out path to Radiologist and Documenting Pathology that is received, Doing call backs with patients needing to be seen after their mammography exam is abnormal, assessment of patients ( BP, explaining procedures and documentation of medications that patient is on before Procedure), Dressing and holding pressure for biopsy site. And just being there for the patient during exam

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) independently plans and delivers patient-centered care in accordance with physician orders, established clinical guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
Professional nursing practice aligns with the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice , emphasizing clinical excellence, leadership, accountability, and evidence-based care.
The Staff RN is a competent nurse who manages care for an assigned patient population, demonstrating advanced clinical judgment, adaptability, and professional growth. Primary Nursing Duties and Responsibilities – Staff RN
  • Demonstrate clinical competency in the management of complex patients and family care needs.
  • Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care in accordance with current clinical guidelines.
  • Independently implement the nursing process and adapt care to rapidly changing patient conditions.
  • Utilize patient care technology and clinical information systems efficiently and safely.
  • Delegate patient care appropriately in alignment with scope of practice.
  • Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new employees and students.
  • Establish and pursue professional development and lifelong learning goals.
  • Perform self-assessment and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Recognize and address ethical issues in clinical practice.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Apply evidence-based policies and procedures in clinical decision-making.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory readiness activities.

  • Perform non-waived point-of-care testing within scope of practice, in accordance with all applicable standards and regulations, following successful completion of required training and competency validation (as applicable to department).

  • Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, NRP, PALS) as required by specific unit
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • National certification in a clinical specialty
