Job Title: Procedural Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Experience: 1 year License: ODH Ohio Radiologic License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited radiography program ARRT - Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Description: Traveler's permanent address must be greater than 50 miles from the most central facility to be eligible to apply. Locals can apply. The position requires the Procedural Radiologic Technologist to assist the Electrophysiologist for non-invasive and invasive procedures. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, arrhythmia monitoring, cardiac structures, and sterile technique. The area is a fast-paced electrophysiology lab with Rad techs scrubbing 80% of the cases. An average of 20 cases are handled per day across multiple procedural labs. The technologist must be competent as an assistant in both invasive and non-invasive procedures. Experience in intraprocedural radiographic technology is essential. Knowledge of anatomy, exposure, positioning, physics, radiation protection, and medical terminology is required. Skills required include interpretation of dysrhythmias, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, insertion/programming of AICDs, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table study. Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias is essential, along with maintaining a sterile field and isolation precautions. The lab focuses on various electrophysiology procedures such as pacemaker implants, atrial fibrillation ablations, and ICD implants. This role may involve participation in weekend call shifts. Compliance with all health policies and protocols is mandatory. Modules are required and will be completed pre-start.
