Job Title: Ambulance Paramedic Profession: Nursing Specialty: Paramedic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varies Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Paramedic License Certifications: Emergency medications certification Must-Have: One year paramedic experience required. Description: Provides direct patient care within the scope of license or under the supervision of a physician and within pre-established rules, regulations, and protocols. Administers emergency medications in accordance with the rules and regulations of the State of Wyoming Scope of Practice for Paramedics. Accurately performs complete population-specific patient assessments, establishes care priorities, and renders appropriate care. Accurately documents assessments and treatments of patients using the reporting system in accordance with state statutes. Assures that ambulances and the station are maintained, clean, stocked, and ready for service at all times. When requested, assists with medical treatment of patients in other departments under the direction of the provider within their scope of practice as defined by state regulations. Prioritizes tasks and manages time, personnel, and resources to meet department goals and standards. Other duties may be assigned.
