Job Title: Dietitian Profession: Dietician Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 52 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current licensure as a dietitian as issued by the state board Certifications: Supervision experience in dietetic service of a healthcare institution required for specific roles Must-Have: Participation in annual continuing dietetic education required Description: This position has no maximum bill rate. Please source local and reliable candidates and submit at a reasonable rate. This role provides valuable data and will help ensure success in filling required positions. The schedule includes up to 2 days a week. Hours vary between 4-24 hours depending on need and preferences. A flexible schedule is available, with hours that can be completed during the first shift. This is an 8 to 30 hour per week position, averaging 24 hours. The position is located on a large campus and requires walking. Candidates may be exposed to unpredictable resident actions. Job Duties: Plans, evaluates, and implements regular, special, and modified diets to ensure compliance with regulations, treatment plans, and accreditation standards. Completes nutrition assessments of clients by reviewing medical charts, interviewing direct care staff, and interviewing patients regarding their preferences and concerns. Maintains dietary and nutrition records, reports, and progress notes, including patient charting, census sheets, and treatment plans. Plans and conducts in-service training programs related to nutrition for clients and staff, and attends various meetings as required. Major Worker Characteristics: Knowledge of dietetics and nutrition, regulations, and accreditation standards. Ability to interpret technical material in various forms, counsel clients regarding nutrition, and prepare accurate reports. Training and Development: Annual renewal of license to practice as a dietitian is required. Unusual Working Conditions: Not applicable.
