Responsibilities
Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures for acute care patients.
Ensure patient safety, proper sedation and contrast administration as needed.
Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles for all scans.
Meet daily/weekly productivity targets through efficient scheduling and imaging pipelines.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA, and quality assurance programs.
Verify orders, prepare equipment, and maintain image quality in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to support timely clinical decisions.
Engage in continuous learning to stay current with CT technologies and protocols.
Assist in scheduling, patient flow, and throughput planning to optimize department performance.
Manage patient communication to reduce anxiety and explain exam steps clearly.
Document imaging procedures, ensure accurate labeling, and file results promptly.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance for minimal downtime.
Experience/Qualifications
ARRT or equivalent CT technologist certification with valid AZ licensure.
Proficient CT imaging for acute care patients with contrast administration experience.
Adhere to ALARA, radiation safety, and HIPAA compliance in all scans.
Strong ability to meet daily throughput targets and optimize imaging pipelines.
Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams for timely decisions.
Provide patient-centered communication; explain exam steps to reduce anxiety.
Maintain accurate documentation, labeling, and prompt result filing.
Troubleshoot CT equipment and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with CT protocols.
Demonstrate reliability in a fast-paced environment with strong personal ownership.
