Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technology Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: California State Radiologic Technologists License Certifications: ARRT Certification, CT License Must-Have: ARRT License Required California Fluoro License Required Must be proficient in X-ray and CT scans Description: Nights, 7 on / 7 off. Starting schedule is Wednesday 8:30 PM - 6:30 AM. Thursday and Friday 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Tuesday 8:30 PM - 6:30 AM, then off for 7 days. Traveler will cover shifts when other NOC staff are on vacation. Required to work holidays if it falls on regular shift. Will perform both CT and X-ray exams. Must be able to work independently. Traveler will be working solo. Must be flexible with shifts as needed to cover department. The radiologic technologist is responsible, under the supervision of a radiologist, for performing screening, diagnostic, and/or therapeutic imaging procedures. These procedures are to be performed in accordance with department and hospital protocols and policies. Radiologic Technologists must perform the procedures competently. Where applicable, procedures may be performed under personal, direct, or general supervision. This position will involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues. This position may require varying shifts and availability for on-call coverage. Job Relationships: Directly responsible to Diagnostic Imaging Manager. Works closely with Medical Staff, including Radiologists and ER physicians. Collaborates with hospital district leadership and departments. Occupational Hazards: Works in a general hospital setting. May be exposed to blood, body fluids, or tissues as well as patients in varying stages of infectious states. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology is required. Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists or equivalent body is required. Desire to cross-train into other modalities is preferred. Current CPR card is required. Minimum of an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts Degree or acceptable equivalent experience is preferred. Experience with PACS/RIS is preferred.
