Connected Health Care is seeking a Local Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a 13-week contract opportunity with one of our trusted healthcare partners in Butte, MT. Position Overview – Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative services in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. This role focuses on helping patients regain independence and improve functional mobility, strength, and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy treatments to patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and adaptive techniques
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
  • Maintain a safe and supportive rehabilitation environment
Must-Have Requirements
  • Active Montana Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
  • Recent Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
Education & Certification Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification
  • Active Montana COTA License in good standing
  • Current BLS Certification through AHA or equivalent
