- Position: Activities / Recreation Coordinator
- Required Certification: BLS
- Collaborates with team members to develop a monthly calendar of therapeutic activities.
- Obtains resources such as music, slides, tapes, books, games, and recreational equipment.
- Coordinates with community groups to arrange programs of interest for participants.
- Assists with general activities including greeting participants, reality orientation, food service, and toileting.
- Implements activities scheduled on the monthly calendar.
- Builds a warm social environment through celebrations, entertainment, and community-based recreational programming.
- Works with Supervisor to plan personalized activities for participants with special needs.
- Assists in evaluation and care planning for prospective participants.
- Completes required evaluations and attends review meetings.
- Documents participant information in patient records and/or department database.
- Provides supportive contact for individuals with emotional or functional limitations.
- Monitors functional changes and adjusts activity programs accordingly.

- 2 years of recent relevant experience

- Familiarity with basic recreation equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to follow established procedures to solve routine problems.
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality (PHI compliance).
- Strong professional communication and relationship-building skills.
