Roles & Responsibilities- Assist in occupational therapy evaluations and implement treatment plans under supervision
- Support patients in regaining and improving daily living skills, fostering independence and confidence
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s goals
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on strategies to continue progress outside of sessions
- Active California COTA license required
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Strong clinical skills in rehabilitation and a passion for patient-centered care
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable documentation skills and attention to compliance
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active COTA licensure in California
- Foundational knowledge of occupational therapy principles and therapeutic techniques
- Experience or comfort working in a skilled nursing facility environment
- Ability to support activities of daily living (ADLs) and adaptive equipment use
- Good clinical reasoning, documentation, and time-management skills
- Team collaboration, patient education, and compassionate bedside manner
