We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a travel contract role in Cumming, GA at a skilled nursing facility. Under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide restorative and maintenance therapy to residents with complex medical and functional needs. Minimum Requirements
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college.
- Active Georgia Occupational Therapy Licensure required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required; maintain current certification during assignment.
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred; minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a COTA recommended.
- Proficiency with documentation in electronic health record systems preferred; facility may require specific EHR experience.
- Ability to implement restorative programs, ADL retraining, therapeutic modalities, and caregiver training in a SNF environment.
