Join a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary engineering firm as a Transportation & Highway Technical Manager - Civil Engineering (PE) in one of several Upstate New York locations, including Buffalo, Syracuse, Binghamton, Rochester, Ithaca, or Albany. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Transportation & Highway Technical Manager - Civil Engineering (PE) position include:
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering; lead highway and roadway design projects from concept through completion
- 8–15 years of experience in transportation, roadway, or highway engineering; oversee project execution and ensure compliance with standards
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain; serve as technical expert and decision-maker
- Prior staff management experience preferred; mentor, coach, and develop engineering teams
- Proficiency in MS Office and MicroStation preferred; guide design best practices and troubleshoot technical challenges
- Familiarity with NYSDOT standards preferred; ensure adherence to regulatory and client requirements
- Strong communication and organizational skills; collaborate with clients, project managers, and cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage resources and staffing effectively; support recruiting efforts and continuous team improvement
Salary: $130,000 - $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
