Position Overview
Transaction Operations Analysts support the operational lifecycle of financial transactions, ensuring accurate processing, settlement, reconciliation, and reporting. The role blends operational execution, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination to support front-office, finance, and risk teams while maintaining strong controls and process integrity.
These roles often involve close collaboration with trading desks, investment teams, middle office, fund accounting, compliance, and external counterparties.
Key Responsibilities
Support end-to-end transaction processing, including trade capture, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transaction records across internal systems and external platforms
Monitor settlement status, resolve breaks, and investigate operational discrepancies
Support post-trade and post-transaction reporting, including activity, cash movements, and reconciliations
Coordinate with counterparties, custodians, brokers, and service providers to ensure smooth execution
Assist with operational controls, process improvements, and risk mitigation initiatives
Analyze transaction data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or recurring operational issues
Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal control reviews
Prepare daily, weekly, and ad-hoc operational reports for management
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field
Understanding of transaction lifecycles, operations, and financial products
Experience or coursework in operations, middle office, fund accounting, or financial services (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transactional workflows
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, or operations systems is a plus
Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive, process-driven environments
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Interest in transaction operations, process optimization, and operational risk
