Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related production issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production tooling.
- Collaborate with design and production teams on new product introduction and process improvements.
- Conduct root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement corrective actions.
- Evaluate and select appropriate tooling materials and manufacturing methods.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling performance and lifespan.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in tooling design, development, and maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam) for tool design and simulation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, metal stamping, or machining.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Knowledge of GD&T, material properties, and heat treatment processes relevant to tool construction.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software for tool design and validation.
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience.
- Proficiency in CAM software for CNC machining of tooling components.
- Knowledge of metrology and CMM programming for tool validation.
- Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) applications for tooling.
