Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for tooling issues.
• Optimize tooling performance for quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Manage tooling maintenance, repair, and refurbishment schedules.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to integrate new tooling solutions.
• Specify and procure tooling materials and components.
• Conduct tool trials and approve new or modified tooling for production.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in tooling design, development, or maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for tooling design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, machining) and their associated tooling requirements.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis, DFM).
• Project management experience, particularly with external tooling vendors or new product introduction.
• Certification or practical experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with machining, tool making, or mold assembly/disassembly.
