The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and modify manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for tooling issues.
- Optimize tooling performance for quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Manage tooling maintenance, repair, and refurbishment schedules.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to integrate new tooling solutions.
- Specify and procure tooling materials and components.
- Conduct tool trials and approve new or modified tooling for production.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in tooling design, development, or maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for tooling design and analysis.
- Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, stamping, machining) and their associated tooling requirements.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis, DFM).
- Project management experience, particularly with external tooling vendors or new product introduction.
- Certification or practical experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with machining, tool making, or mold assembly/disassembly.
