Salary Range: $71,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and molds.
• Analyze tooling performance, identify root causes of failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for tooling-related issues on the production floor.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams on new product introduction (NPI) to ensure tooling readiness.
• Manage tooling maintenance, repair, and modification programs to maximize lifespan and efficiency.
• Select, specify, and procure appropriate tooling materials, components, and equipment.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for tooling design and manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tool design, simulation, and modification.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, injection molding, die casting, machining).
• Knowledge of tooling materials, heat treatment, and surface finishes.
• Experience with GD&T and metrology for tool inspection and validation.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, optimize performance, and implement continuous improvement.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., Moldflow, FEA) for tooling optimization.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex tooling projects from concept to production.
• Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes for tooling applications.
