Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tooling, jigs, and fixtures for production.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and modification of production tooling to ensure operational readiness.
- Diagnose and resolve tooling-related issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve quality.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for tooling design and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on tooling procurement, design reviews, and validation.
- Manage tooling projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for tooling specifications, designs, and maintenance history.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for tool design.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, stamping, injection molding, or casting.
- Expertise in tool design principles, materials science, and heat treatment for various tooling applications.
- Proven experience in tooling fabrication, try-out, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and utilize metrology equipment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, Moldflow) for tool design validation.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency in programming automated machinery or robotics for tooling integration.
- Project management experience specifically managing external tooling vendors or complex tool builds.
