Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tooling, jigs, and fixtures for production.
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and modification of production tooling to ensure operational readiness.
• Diagnose and resolve tooling-related issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve quality.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for tooling design and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors on tooling procurement, design reviews, and validation.
• Manage tooling projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for tooling specifications, designs, and maintenance history.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) for tool design.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, stamping, injection molding, or casting.
• Expertise in tool design principles, materials science, and heat treatment for various tooling applications.
• Proven experience in tooling fabrication, try-out, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and utilize metrology equipment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, Moldflow) for tool design validation.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Proficiency in programming automated machinery or robotics for tooling integration.
• Project management experience specifically managing external tooling vendors or complex tool builds.
