Salary Range: $74,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize new and existing production tooling, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repair of manufacturing tools to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot tooling-related production issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define tooling requirements and specifications.
- Evaluate and recommend new tooling technologies and materials for process improvement.
- Manage tooling inventory, procurement, and external vendor relationships for tooling services.
- Perform root cause analysis on tooling failures and implement robust solutions to prevent recurrence.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3-5+ years of experience in tooling design, development, or maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for tooling design and analysis.
- Strong understanding of tooling materials, heat treatment, machining processes, and GD&T.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, optimize performance, and implement continuous improvement.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with additive manufacturing (3D printing) for tooling prototypes or components.
- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP).
- Familiarity with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis beyond basic CAD integrations).
