Key Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to plan machining operations.
- Operate and maintain various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines.
- Perform precision measurements and inspections to ensure parts meet strict tolerances and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tooling and machinery, implementing effective repair solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool performance and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
- Select appropriate materials and heat treatment processes for tooling to ensure durability and performance.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or in a similar precision machining role.
- Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machining equipment (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders, EDM).
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of tool and die design principles, materials, and heat treatment processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for troubleshooting and precise fabrication.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control techniques.
Bonus Qualifications
- - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tool design and programming
