Barrister Title is seeking an experienced Title Examiner to join our close-knit, detail-driven team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys research, and understands how critical clean title work is to a smooth closing.

What You’ll Do: As a Title Examiner, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing property records to identify matters that may affect title, including but not limited to:
- Examining recorded deeds, mortgages, contracts, and other instruments affecting title.
- Locating and reviewing tax records, judgments, liens, bankruptcies, and foreclosure actions.
- Researching conditions, restrictions, easements, and other encumbrances.
- Accurately summarizing findings for internal use, underwriting, and insurance purposes.
- Maintaining clear and organized title research records.
- Communicating progress and findings with colleagues and clients as needed.
- Delivering clear, accurate reports that support efficient and compliant closings.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous title examiner experience is required.
- Strong working knowledge of property title terminology and title examination processes.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using public records search tools such as DataTrace.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team.
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented work style.
- Experience with SoftPro is a plus.
