Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Prepare for trials, hearings, and other litigation proceedings
Draft, format, and finalize court documents for California state and federal courts
E-file documents in state and federal courts
Research court rules and filing requirements
Create Tables of Authorities (TOAs) and Tables of Contents (TOCs)
Prepare and serve subpoenas
Track deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively


Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 5 years of litigation secretary experience
Strong communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills
In-depth knowledge of California and federal court rules
Proficiency in e-filing and document preparation
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
Moderate experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro
Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., iManage) and eDiscovery platforms
Experience with legal calendaring systems (e.g., Deadlines.com, Compulaw) preferred
Appellate filing experience is a plus
