Join our dynamic team as a Temp Ultrasound Technologist specializing in General and OB/GYN imaging, providing critical diagnostic services during night shifts. This position is vital in delivering high-quality ultrasound evaluations, identifying normal and abnormal findings, and communicating results effectively to healthcare professionals. Your expertise will directly impact patient care and clinical outcomes in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in operating ultrasound equipment, excellent patient communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently during night hours. Your role will include reviewing imaging quality, detecting anomalies, and alerting physicians to urgent issues to support timely medical interventions.
Required Skills:
- Proven proficiency in ultrasound imaging techniques for general and OB/GYN applications
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment efficiently
- Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and imaging protocols
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting of results
- Attention to detail and quality assurance in image review
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of advanced ultrasound modalities (e.g., Doppler, 3D/4D imaging)
- Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
- Bilingual communication skills
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Certified Ultrasound Technician (ARDMS or equivalent)
- Associate’s degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant ultrasound experience, particularly in OB/GYN
Other Requirements:
- Valid state licensure and professional certifications
- Ability to work night shifts permanently
- Willingness to travel for training or cross-site assignments if required
- Compliance with all applicable safety, health, and privacy regulations
