Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Temp to Hire Litigation Legal Assistant. This role is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious professional to gain valuable experience and further their career in the legal field. As a Consulting Litigation Legal Assistant, you will be an integral part of our team, supporting attorneys in a fast-paced environment, and handling a variety of litigation matters. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position, with a strong emphasis on filing.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Temp to Hire Litigation Legal Assistant, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings.
2. Managing and organizing large volumes of complex case-related documents.
3. Filing and retrieving legal documents in a timely and efficient manner.
4. Drafting routine legal documents for review by attorneys.
5. Handling and directing client inquiries to appropriate parties.
6. Conducting legal research and initial case assessments.
7. Developing and maintaining an index system for all case files.
8. Creating and formatting pleadings, discovery, and transactional documents.
9. Communicating with external entities (courts, counsel, vendors, etc.) as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the position of Consulting Temp to Hire Litigation Legal Assistant will have:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or similar role within a law firm or legal department.
2. Proficient in electronic document management and filing systems.
3. Excellent knowledge of legal terminology, regulations, and court system.
4. Proficient in MS Office and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, etc.).
5. Strong analytical skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
6. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
9. Legal Assistant certification or diploma is preferred.
