Technology and Data - Software Engineer 3 - Contingent

Location: Charlotte, NC

Salary Range: $50 to $55

Introduction

In this contingent resource assignment, you may consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Software Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Software Engineering deliverables. You will review and analyze moderately complex Software Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Additionally, you will contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Software Engineering deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. You will collaborate with client personnel in Software Engineering.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
• 5 years of hands-on experience across each of the technical areas listed below:
  • Cloud migration and data center migrations
  • Application monitoring using tools like Splunk, ThousandEyes, AppDynamics
  • Setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of load balancers, web servers, Apache Tomcat, application servers
  • Certificate management using Venafi Certificate Management, SSH protocols, authentication keys
  • Setting up infrastructure services including APIs, file transfers, S3, databases, NDMs
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix file systems and shell scripting
  • User migration from AD-ENT to Azure AD, Ping, OAuth2 frameworks
• Strong ability to work across multiple applications and environments simultaneously
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across application and infrastructure layers
• Technically confident and adaptable with a broad engineering skill set
• Experience working with modern, market-standard technology stacks
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience supporting finance or enterprise-scale application environments
• Exposure to regulated or large, complex environments
• Strong documentation and operational process experience

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end application management support across multiple applications and platforms
• Act as a technical generalist supporting specialist development and engineering teams
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and development teams to ensure application availability, performance, and stability
• Support cloud migration initiatives and modern infrastructure services
• Troubleshoot application, server, and infrastructure issues across environments
• Ensure monitoring, authentication, certificate management, and file transfer services are properly configured and maintained
