TECHNICIAN - Tribology

Who We Are:

We are a Tribology test lab that runs friction, wear and lubrication testing to solve client problems and improve products. This is done through a combination of using tribology test rigs and operating 3D wear measurement equipment.

Objectives of this Role:
  • Perform tribology testing and take wear measurements.
  • Communicate with project managers to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Work independently to progress through required tasks.
  • Cover the 4pm to midnight shift.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
  • Follow all written test procedures and written and verbal instructions.
  • Assemble and operate tribology test rigs with attention to detail.
  • Undertake 3D wear measurements of end of test components using complex wear measurement devices.
  • Observe, monitor, and record test information, keeping test equipment logbooks up to date and maintaining data in correct files.
  • Keep labs clean and tidy and adhere to health and safety and environmental policies.
Requirements:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Shift work required.
  • 2 years: Practical hands-on experience working with customers / clients including, Lube Technician, Tire maintenance, automotive front desk representative.
  • 6 months years: Experience with operating sensitive equipment.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
Special Requirements:

Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to ITAR work in section.
