Job Summary
Client’s eMobility Division is currently seeking a contingent Lab Technician based at the Marshall, Michigan facility.
This role partners with engineering to support product development activities including testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving. The technician will assist with testing, calibration, product assembly, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives in a safety- and quality-focused lab environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering on testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of product development
- Provide technical solutions to resolve product issues
- Complete assigned jobs with assistance from engineers and team members
- Conduct required tests and calibration using test equipment
- Check and maintain equipment to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Support all phases of product development including assembly, testing, design, failure analysis, cost reduction, and product improvements
- Perform quality measurements and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical components
- Comply with Quality and Environmental Management Systems requirements
- Participate in team projects, research new processes or concepts, and meet deadlines
- Promote workplace safety, mutual respect, and cleanliness
- Support safety programs and adhere to safety requirements
Required Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive, electrical, mechanical, testing, machining, or engineering environments (co-op/intern experience acceptable)
- Experience conducting tests and calibrations using test equipment
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Experience in research and development environments
- Experience servicing or evaluating automotive or electrical components
- Experience performing quality measurements and troubleshooting analysis
Required Skills
- Testing and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
- Equipment calibration and maintenance
- Collaboration with engineering teams
Preferred Skills
- Automotive or eMobility product development experience
- Failure analysis and root cause investigation
