Join AZAD as a Technical Training Specialist and support, under guidance from the System Protection Control Technical Services supervisor and the Transmission Field Services, senior manager, the maintenance and development of the Engineer Development Program and Technical Training Program. The Engineer Development Program is a critical service that the Transmission Engineering and Technical Services organization provides to engineers who enter the field with little or no experience in protection practices.
This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Vancouver, WA with onsite 3 days per week.
The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $4.93) is $31.00 to $35.00 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.
The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Educational Design, Education Training and Development, Technical Training, Adult Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Design and Technology, or a related field is preferred.
6 months of experience is required.
Candidates for these positions may require work-related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training in the field they are providing training in.
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
Advanced SharePoint skills or similar program, sufficient to: create and manage repositories, calendars, workspaces, and tracking lists.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and tracking of records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Valid U.S. Driver's License/Real ID is required.
Preferred:
Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
Experience providing technical training or running a technical training program that supports transmission system or electrical equipment.
