Merrick is seeking an experienced Technical Specialist to join a multidisciplinary team of engineering and design personnel serving the Nuclear Services & Technology (NST) Business Unit (BU) in our project office/company headquarters in multiple locations throughout the US and available remotely. This dynamic engineering group specializes in the design of prototype/one-off hot cells, gloveboxes and custom equipment for specialty research equipment and custom-designed, remotely operated mechanisms for handling radioactive and hazardous materials.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:- Makes decisions and recommendations that are authoritative and have an important impact on extensive organizational activities
- Sets priorities and reconciles directions from competing interests.
- Regularly works on programs with complex features
- Receives administrative supervision with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits
- Routinely interacts with organizational leaders, clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others
- Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials or other organizations and companies
- Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program
- Minimum 18 years of experience
- PE License required
